Here At Ru-Slack we believe we may be able to add a little something extra to your users experience by providing an active element for the zesty among us and entertainment for those who are happier to sit and watch. Slacklining is a great activity because it appeals to all ages and interests and with a long list of benefits it’s perfect to link in with your event to communicate your desired message.
With this we believe we have acquired the skills to offer to something of real benefit to almost all young people. If you feel that Ru-Slack may have something of value to you, your friends & family or your organisation please read on or contact us.
Do you have a young person that isn’t interacting with your service, maybe your school has a truancy problem or perhaps you have groups of young people congregating and causing ASB issues for local residents. Well Ru-Slack has a special outreach program that targets hard-to-reach youths and offers them an activity to do on their own terms.
Some organisations use us an alternative learning activity for those that struggle in the classroom, some use our sessions as a reward for good behaviour and others just for diversionary activities for those with emotional & behavioural difficulties. Whatever the case we can be sure to deliver the session you want to your young people in a way that suits their learning needs and your desired outcomes.
Do your young people have special educational needs or emotional & behavioural difficulties? Are you looking for a new activity to try with them? Maybe your looking for sessions with personal and social development aims; then we have developed a ‘Skills Competency Matrix’ that allows us to look at and focus on areas where the child could benefit.
Slacklining is the perfect addition to any youth group due to its ease of set up, low financial investment and its ability to engage young people. What other activity can be carried around in a bag, costs as little as 10p a session and can entertain a whole group of young people for hours?
Ru-Slack has facilitated slacklining to members of the public in over 10 different countries from the UK to UAE; providing thousands with their first memorable experience of slacklining. During this time we have also organised and facilitated a number of different slackline programs and workshops for and on behalf of Local Authorities, Schools, National interest groups, Teachers, The Scouts, Gymnasiums, Youth Services and Outdoor Instructors.
We have previously run a number of outreach programmes working with hard-to-reach youth and those at risk of offending and there has been some fantastic results with the majority of young people seeing out the programmes and seemingly enjoying the activity, we believe this is because of the individual nature of the challenges it provides in a very simple format.
